Maple Sugarin Festival

If you enjoy nature, you'll love this event. Features maple syrup and pancake brunch ($4/person), maple syrup demonstrations and tastings, food concessions featuring maple items, maple pit beef, children's activity area (crafts, games, face painting), craft vendors, living history programs, plus birds of prey, reptiles, and amphibians!

Westminster Museum Portrays 19th Century Rural Culture

 

The Carroll County Farm Museum 
 
Ranked among the most popular attractions in the Baltimore Area in 2008, The Carroll County Farm Museum offers you the opportunity to experience 19th Century rural life and culture.

Located on 140 acres in Westminster, Maryland, this historic museum showcases a main house built in 1852, barns, a smokehouse, springhouse, blacksmith shop, craftsmen’s workshops, broom shop, wagon shed, one-room school house, general store, farm animals and other exhibit areas.

Visitors will also enjoy viewing many artifacts, interesting collections, and memorabilia on display. In addition to guided and self-guided tours, there are plenty of special events scheduled throughout the year, including an Old Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration, a Civil War Re-Enactment, Fiddler’s Convention, the Maryland Wine Festival, Holiday Tours and more.
